Every single production batch, shipment, and quarry cut can vary naturally in color, movement, shade, filling, and overall appearance. Travertine is a 100% natural material, so no two lots will ever look exactly the same as website photos or previous shipments.
Our website pictures are meant to represent the general style and tone of the material, but natural variation is always expected and considered part of the beauty of real stone products.

"Snow white" suggests white. The samples Surfaces Galore were not all reflective of the actual product received- samples were much whiter- product very grey. I should have looked at every piece prior to install. Product great other than color.

Our sample program is specifically designed to give a realistic representation of the material. For that reason, we aim to send samples that reflect an average, random selection from the lot rather than the absolute whitest pieces, so customers have a more accurate expectation of how the overall order will look once installed.
That said, we understand how lighting conditions and installation can sometimes make the material appear different than expected. We also always recommend reviewing all pieces prior to installation to ensure they meet your preference.

Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand how important timely delivery is, and we’d like to clarify the timeline for your order.
Your order was placed on April 13, 2026 at 5:15 PM, and it was processed and shipped out promptly from our Anaheim, CA warehouse. According to USPS tracking, the package was accepted on April 14, 2026 at 5:06 PM and departed our local distribution center on April 15, 2026 at 2:03 AM.
At this point, the shipment is in transit within the USPS network, and the current delay is unfortunately with the carrier, not due to any delay on our end.
We always ship orders as quickly as possible—especially sample orders—but USPS First Class / Ground services are not overnight services, and transit times can vary depending on the destination and carrier conditions.
We kindly ask for your understanding, as expecting overnight delivery from a standard shipping method is not realistic, and we fulfilled and shipped your order within a normal and timely manner.
That said, we are actively monitoring the shipment and are happy to assist if there are any further issues.

These tiles are supposed to be a set to be used as a checkerboard tile. They are not equal thicknesses and a waste of money to order a sample.
TThank you for your purchase. Two important things: first, samples are for color and shade purposes so you can see how they look in person. If you check the item specifications, you can view the thickness and all information before reviewing. We hope you reached out and asked any quick questions. Also, there is a note for all samples in the box stating they are for shade and color. Secondly, if you refer to the checkerboard specification section, you can determine if you want to create a checkerboard pattern - some tiles may have different thicknesses and edges, but they always meet industry standards. Thank you for ordering samples. In your case, the tiles are of the same thickness, so there is nothing wrong with the actual item.
Great product. Delivery was without incident.
Absolutely luxuriously beautiful - and goes perfectly with my dolomite and bardiglio flooring. It's white, but has a very subtly movement that is perfect for baseboard trim. Plus, the person helping me with the sale knew his products well and was very helpful. I couldn't be more delighted!
Got the wrong tile
The customer purchased Emperador Dark Marble Basketweave with Crema Marfil Dots Mosaic Polished, and we sent the exact item. We have not received any feedback, email, call, or text from the customer regarding receiving the wrong item. It is possible that they ordered the wrong item, but we shipped out the merchandise they ordered. We have pictures of the order before shipping, so from our side, the order was correct. However, if they did order the wrong item, we have not been contacted for an exchange or any other resolution.
I have been looking for this tile for a lone time. This is the exact tile I needed.
Why would you even send that "Sample" cost me 9 bucks that. Very unimpressed.

The item you purchased was a sample, which is a small swatch piece intended to show the material, color tone, and finish — not a full tile. Natural stone products, especially mosaics with random layouts, can vary slightly in appearance from piece to piece due to their natural characteristics.
When you contacted us, we requested a photo to confirm that the correct item was sent, and it was indeed the same material as ordered. Please note that samples are cut swatch pieces and may not represent the full pattern layout of the complete tile.

This trim is just what I needed. I was able to pick it up the day after I ordered it and John was great with addressing some concerns I had. I will definitely order from Surfaces Galore again when the need arises.
